Hi, it’s betina. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you visit betinatee.com. The short version: I only collect what you choose to give me, I only use it to send you book news, and you can leave whenever you like.

Who is responsible

This website belongs to betina tee, author of Forgotten, But Not Gone. For anything about your data, email me at authorbetinatee@gmail.com.

What I collect, and why

• Newsletter (“Join the clan”): your email address, and your first name if you choose to share it. I use them only to send you my newsletter: release updates, ARC news, sneak peeks, and the occasional unhinged vampire thought. I collect this because you asked to sign up, and you can change your mind at any time.
• ARC sign-up: the postcard on the homepage opens a Google Form. Whatever you enter there is collected by Google Forms and used only to organise advance reader copies.
• Emails you send me: if you write to me, I use your message and address only to reply.

I don’t sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own marketing. Ever.

The services that help me

• MailerLite sends the newsletter and stores subscriber details. MailerLite says it stores data in the European Union. When the sign-up form loads, it also connects to MailerLite so the form can work and count views. You can read MailerLite’s privacy policy.
• Google Forms handles the ARC sign-up. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Netlify hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. See Netlify’s privacy policy.

This site doesn’t use advertising trackers or analytics tools, and the fonts are hosted on the site itself.

How long I keep it

Your newsletter details stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. ARC sign-up answers are deleted once they’re no longer needed for that ARC round.

Your choices and rights

• Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you’re out.
• You can ask me to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you. Just email me.
• If you live in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In France, that’s the CNIL.

Links to other sites

This site links to places like Amazon, Goodreads, Instagram, Pinterest and the artists’ pages. Once you click through, their own privacy policies apply.

Age

My books are dark romance written for adult readers, and this site and newsletter are meant for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
